More showings have been added at the Music Box Theater on the 11th and 12th of Feb. Anyone who shows up in costume on the 5th, 11th, or 12th will get a prize from me. Those who want to meet up a couple of hours before the movie for bowling and white russians can do so at Southport Lanes (located about 9 blocks north of the theater) email me with any questions.

Calling all Achievers?



So, my name is Ann. I got the location I wanted for my cycle, and I was hoping all you Achievers could come by and give me notes.



Okay, not really. Well, my name is Ann and I do need help from all the Achievers out there reading this.



I?m a graduate student at Northwestern University (www.northwestern.edu) trying to get my master?s degree in Sociology. To do this, I have to write a professional research paper on a topic of my own choice. And I thought- what better social gathering to observe and document than Lebowski Fest (www.lebowskifest.com)



My study is entitled, ?At Least It?s An Ethos: Community and Culture at Lebowski Fest.? Basically, it?s a study of why people up and decided to get together to celebrate this movie.



I?ve been to a couple fests myself- well before I began the study, and I?d like to hear about other people?s experiences. To that end, I?m in need of Achievers who have attended one or more fests, or are on their way to their first fest this year in New York, and are willing to participate in an interview. I?ll be asking you general questions about your fest going experiences- how many you?ve been to, why you go, whether you dress up. Basically, I want to hear your stories.



The study is totally anonymous, and I won?t collect any identifying information about you aside from age and gender. It is also strictly for the purposes of academic study. Though the project may be published someday, it won?t be used for anything business-related. Neither will it be published by Treehorn Entertainment and make objects out of women. I will be taking the first 20 respondents I get. If you want to participate, it will be about half an hour of your time over the phone.
